Do you want to know the water quality of your public water? You can go to your municipality’s website to find the annual water quality report. Municipalities make it difficult to decipher the levels of the contaminants in the water and although they list the actual levels, they use pass or fail for all of them instead of listing percentages of limits- as a scientist I would want to know if I have 96% of the limits set by the EPA of arsenic or lead in my water.
The Environmental Working Group (EWG) has made a database with easy to read levels of all the contaminants. You can find it here:
