Certified Water Services specializes in water testing for both private households and for real estate transactions. For laboratory water tests we’ll provide a full analysis along with the results to inform you what percentage of the maximum contaminant level you are at for each contaminant so you can have a reference point of what the levels mean on your results, instead of just a pass/fail. For example you may have 95% of the EPA’s maximum contaminant level of lead in your water and a typical home inspector may inform you the water is safe to drink because, technically, the levels are not over the EPA’s maximum contaminant level. Certified Water Services will also recommend what we would do if we were going to buy a house with similar levels.
Water tests offered:
- PFOS & PFOA (PFCs)
- total hardness (causes scale buildup on fixtures)
- nitrates/nitrites
- iron (causes red/brown staining on fixtures)
- PH (low PH causes blue/green staining on fixtures)
- total chlorine
- arsenic
- hexavalend chromium
- well water tests for bacteria (e. coli, coliform)
- volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
- lead
- radon
Testing your water for other contaminates not listed here can also be done. Many of the water tests we offer are free of charge, and can be done while you wait. CWS also specializes in bacteria testing for well water. Well water testing for e. coli and coliform bacteria are the most common.
